In fact, I resubscribed to the WSJ in 2016 because I wanted to see how the editorial pages, which are typically staunch supporters of Republican administrations, were going to handle Trump 1.0.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"359\" data-end=\"720\">Today they reported the salient facts that Trump announced his opposition to the new bridge connecting Detroit and Canada after the commerce secretary, Herald Ludnick, met with the owner of a competing bridge who will benefit from the new bridge never coming into operation. What surprised me was not that the WSJ would come out against this crony capitalism.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"789\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The final line in the editorial &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/opinion\/donald-trump-gordie-howe-bridge-canada-michigan-howard-lutnick-472ef1aa?mod=hp_opin_pos_3\">Trump\u2019s Crony Canadian Bridgegate<\/a>&#8221; made me laugh out loud.
